The Opportunity

The role will lead on core financial reporting while also supporting and driving a range of strategic projects that are central to the group’s growth, transformation, and performance improvement agenda.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the preparation of consolidated group financial statements
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with accounting standards, regulatory updates, and internal controls
  • Manage and refine group reporting processes, improving accuracy and timelines
  • Partner with external auditors and coordinate group audit deliverables
  • Deliver high-quality board and investor reporting packs
  • Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles for group and subsidiaries
  • Own and evolve the group consolidation model and reporting tools

Strategic & Commercial Project Involvement:

  • Deep dive into business units and service line margins, helping shape commercial decision‑making
  • Support due diligence, valuation modelling, and post‑deal integration planning
  • Assist with debt structuring, covenant reporting, and working capital optimisation
  • Contribute to group‑wide initiatives around systems, controls, and automation
  • Provide analytical support to senior leadership on capital allocation and strategic planning
  • Help embed financial risk management practices and contribute to internal control enhancements

You’ll report to a Finance leader with a strong track record of developing talent and offering genuine exposure to senior leadership, board members, and external stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We’re looking for a technically sharp, commercially minded individual who brings:

  • ACA qualification (or equivalent), trained in a Top 10 accountancy firm
  • Strong post-qualified experience, ideally in a complex, multi-entity environment
  • A proven ability to work at pace, managing competing priorities with confidence
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capability
  • A keen eye for process improvement and analytical thinking
  • Experience in IFRS group reporting and an appetite for hands‑on project work
