The Opportunity
The role will lead on core financial reporting while also supporting and driving a range of strategic projects that are central to the group’s growth, transformation, and performance improvement agenda.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the preparation of consolidated group financial statements
- Ensure ongoing compliance with accounting standards, regulatory updates, and internal controls
- Manage and refine group reporting processes, improving accuracy and timelines
- Partner with external auditors and coordinate group audit deliverables
- Deliver high-quality board and investor reporting packs
- Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles for group and subsidiaries
- Own and evolve the group consolidation model and reporting tools
Strategic & Commercial Project Involvement:
- Deep dive into business units and service line margins, helping shape commercial decision‑making
- Support due diligence, valuation modelling, and post‑deal integration planning
- Assist with debt structuring, covenant reporting, and working capital optimisation
- Contribute to group‑wide initiatives around systems, controls, and automation
- Provide analytical support to senior leadership on capital allocation and strategic planning
- Help embed financial risk management practices and contribute to internal control enhancements
You’ll report to a Finance leader with a strong track record of developing talent and offering genuine exposure to senior leadership, board members, and external stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
We’re looking for a technically sharp, commercially minded individual who brings:
- ACA qualification (or equivalent), trained in a Top 10 accountancy firm
- Strong post-qualified experience, ideally in a complex, multi-entity environment
- A proven ability to work at pace, managing competing priorities with confidence
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capability
- A keen eye for process improvement and analytical thinking
- Experience in IFRS group reporting and an appetite for hands‑on project work
