Finance Administrator
Do you love digging into where money's come from, or working out why an invoice is showing up twice on the ledger? This permanent Finance Administrator role has opened up because the previous person in it was promoted internally into a senior finance position, real proof of a business that invests in its people and loves to see them grow. You'll be stepping into a busy, growing team that needs someone who'll take real ownership of queries rather than let them pile up.
You'll suit this if you're naturally curious about the "why" behind a number, not just processing what's in front of you. Confidence picking up the phone and following a query through to resolution matters more here than pure processing speed. It's also a genuinely social, friendly team, so you'll want to enjoy being part of that day to day.
What You Will Be Doing
- Taking ownership of incoming queries across a busy shared inbox, digging into discrepancies rather than waiting to be asked
- Investigating why something doesn't reconcile and following it through to a resolution
- Building strong working relationships with sales, project and supply teams
- Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Setting up and maintaining supplier account records
- Managing statement requests and reconciliations from suppliers
- Handling overhead orders and queries for the wider group
- Reconciling company credit card statements
- Managing utility invoices and rebate requests across multiple locations
- Supporting month-end reconciliations against the ledger and assisting with audit requests
What We Need From You
- Genuinely curious about the detail, the kind of person who wants to know why a number doesn't add up
- A confident, proactive communicator who enjoys resolving queries rather than letting them sit
- Someone who builds relationships naturally and isn't afraid to pick up the phone
- A real team player who'll thrive in a close, social, friendly environment
- Patient and persistent, comfortable following things up until they're actually resolved
- Someone who takes ownership of their own workload and deadlines
- Open to candidates early in their finance career, full training given
- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
What's in it for you
- Support towards AAT study for anyone looking to build on their qualifications
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Life assurance after a qualifying period
- Training and development from day one
- A close, sociable team who genuinely enjoy each other's company
- Real growth as the business continues to expand
If you'd rather get to the bottom of a query than let it sit, and you want a team that actually likes each other, get in touch.
