Trinity Hospice is one of the best known charities on the Fylde coast. Together with its dedicated children’s hospice, Brian House, we support more than 2,000 patients and families each year, believing everyone on the Fylde coast deserves access to the very best end of life care.
We are looking for a Cook with experience of working within a catering environment, ideally with experience in a clinical or care home setting. The post holder should also have a good knowledge of special dietary requirements.
Working in a busy hospice environment, the role will support the effective running of our Catering service. We work over a 7 day rota, including weekends. Our Cooks provide a high standard of catering to patients, staff, volunteers and visitors to the hospice. Duties will include preparing food and presenting and delivering food items around the hospice as required, whilst ensuring the food preparation areas and equipment are kept clean.
You must be able to work well in a team and have good interpersonal and communication skills, along with a non-judgmental and empathetic approach. Flexibility, high personal standards and a commitment to the vision and values of Trinity Hospice are essential.
