Location: Thurston

Hours: 18.5 hours per week

Working Pattern: 2 days a week, 9:30am – 7:30pm

Additional Hours: Opportunity to cover annual leave and sickness

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to provide person-centred support for an adult with learning disabilities in Thurston. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping individuals live independently, maintain their wellbeing, and enjoy meaningful daily activities.

Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care support
  • Assisting with domestic tasks and household duties
  • Supporting with food preparation
  • Administering medication
  • Escorting and supporting attendance at appointments and classes

  • Building a positive and professional working relationship with the client

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Aged 25 or over due to insurance requirements for driving the client’s vehicle
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable nature
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility to provide additional cover where possible
