About The Role

Care Assistant – Lewes

£12.80–£14.00 per hour weekdays | £13.80–£15.00 weekends | Paid travel time

Join Trinity Homecare as a Care Assistant and help people continue living safely and independently in their own homes. We're looking for caring, reliable people based in and around Lewes to join our Sussex care team. This is a mobile visiting care role covering both Lewes and Brighton, so you'll need to be comfortable travelling between the two areas to support our clients. You'll need a full UK driving licence and access to your own car.

When we need you

  • Weekday availability across mornings and/or evenings
  • Alternate weekends
  • Flexibility to travel between Lewes and Brighton depending on where care is needed

Your pay

  • Weekdays (Monday–Friday): £12.80–£14.00 per hour
  • Weekends (Saturday–Sunday): £13.80–£15.00 per hour
  • Travel time between clients: £12.80–£13.80 per hour
  • Mileage paid between client visits

Where you'll work

Although this vacancy is advertised in Lewes, you'll support clients across both the Lewes and Brighton areas. That means you'll need to be happy travelling between locations during your working day depending on where our clients need support. This flexibility is an important part of the role, so we'll talk to you about the area, your availability and the travel involved during the recruitment process.

What you'll be doing

You’ll visit clients in their own homes and provide personalised support that helps them remain safe, comfortable and as independent as possible. Your visits could include:

  • Companionship and conversation
  • Personal care and helping clients get ready for their day
  • Preparing meals and supporting with medication
  • Shopping and light household tasks
  • Accompanying clients to appointments or activities
  • Encouraging independence and wellbeing
  • Following individual care plans and recording the support you provide

What we’re looking for

Previous care experience is welcome, but it isn’t essential. We’ll provide the training and support you need. You’ll need to be:

  • Caring, patient and compassionate
  • Reliable and comfortable working independently
