Location: Thurston

Hours: 18.5 hours per week

Working Pattern: 2 days a week, 9:30am – 7:30pm

Additional Hours: Opportunity to cover annual leave and sickness

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to provide person-centred support for an adult with learning disabilities in Thurston. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping individuals live independently, maintain their wellbeing, and enjoy meaningful daily activities. The role includes supporting the client both at home and within the community, promoting independence while ensuring safety, dignity, and choice at all times.

Duties Will Include:

  • Providing personal care support
  • Assisting with domestic tasks and household duties
  • Supporting with food preparation
  • Administering medication
  • Escorting and supporting attendance at appointments and classes
  • Encouraging independence and community engagement
  • Building a positive and professional working relationship with the client

What We’re Looking For

Essential requirements:

  • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Aged 25 or over due to insurance requirements for driving the client’s vehicle
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable nature
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility to provide additional cover where possible
