Position Overview
Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for a 13-week outpatient assignment at F.W. Huston Medical Center in Winchester, KS. The Physical Therapist will provide rehabilitation services in an outpatient setting, helping patients improve mobility, strength, and overall functional independence following injury, surgery, or chronic medical conditions. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and reassessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and functional goals
- Implement therapeutic exercise programs and mobility training
- Provide post-operative rehabilitation and orthopedic therapy
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and recovery strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation in the facility's EMR system
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
Patient Population & Conditions
The therapist may treat patients with a variety of conditions including:
- Orthopedic injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation
- Low back pain and cervicalgia
- Spinal conditions and spinal cord injuries
- Total hip and knee replacements
- Neurological conditions such as Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis
- Traumatic brain injuries and stroke rehabilitation
- Muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular disorders
Workload Expectations
- Approximately 5 patient visits per day
- Typical daily census is low, allowing for focused patient care
- Travelers may occasionally float to other units if needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience
- Active Kansas Physical Therapist License (or compact license)
- BLS Certification

- 2+ years of Physical Therapy experience preferred
- Experience in outpatient or rehabilitation settings
