The Inpatient Surgery Department at Saint Mary's Hospital is a 23-bed unit specializing in the pre- and post-operative care of patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures. These include, but are not limited to, bariatric, orthopedic, ortho-trauma, neuro-spine, mastectomy, urological, gynecological, and gastrointestinal surgeries.
Your Role
- Deliver direct, hands-on care to patients with complex surgical needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans focused on promoting recovery and restoring patients to their pre-surgical level of wellness.
- Provide exceptional care and support for patients requiring overnight or extended post-operative stays.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred.
- Licensure: Current and valid Connecticut RN license.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an acute inpatient setting.
- Certifications: BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, 36 hours, Nights
- 12-hour shifts - 7 p to 7:30 a
- Schedule Weekend & Holidays are required.
