This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project sales professional who understands how to develop complex fire and security opportunities, influence key stakeholders, and build a sustainable pipeline of high-value regional projects.

What you will be doing:

  • Build and manage a sustainable pipeline of major project opportunities, typically ranging from £250k to £1.5m.
  • Develop opportunities through multiple routes to market, including FM clients, end users, contractors, consultants, group relationships, and cross-divisional stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with key regional clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to identify project opportunities early.
  • Leverage your own industry relationships and regional network to generate new project opportunities.
  • Work closely with the design and estimating teams to develop compliant, commercially robust fire and security solutions.
  • Engage with clients at early-stage scoping, survey, design development, tender, and negotiation stages.
  • Support specification-led opportunities by building relationships with consultants and influencing project requirements where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with operational and delivery teams to ensure opportunities are qualified properly and can be delivered successfully.
  • Manage project opportunities through CRM, ensuring accurate pipeline visibility, forecasting, next steps, and expected order dates.
  • Own the commercial development of opportunities through to successful handover, ensuring the right internal stakeholders are engaged at the right stage.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in major project sales, technical sales, or business development within fire, security, life safety, or a closely related building services sector.
  • Strong understanding of complex project development, including early-stage engagement, client scoping, tendering, design input, negotiation, and handover.
  • Experience securing and managing project opportunities in the £250k–£1.5m range.
  • Strong regional relationships across one or more routes to market, such as FM providers, end users, contractors, consultants, or wider group networks.
  • Good technical understanding of fire alarm, life safety, security, and compliance-led systems.
  • Ability to work closely with design, estimating, operations, and delivery teams to shape solutions and manage project risk.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to qualify opportunities, understand client drivers, and focus on work that is deliverable and profitable.
  • Confident relationship-builder with the ability to influence clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline activity, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of owning a regional major projects pipeline.

What’s on Offer:

  • Permanent, full-time position.
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm.
  • Salary: £50,000–£60,000, depending on experience.
  • Uncapped commission.
