Trinity are hiring a Fire & Security Engineer to join our dedicated team in Scotland. In the role, you will be completing services, small works and installations of our clients' Fire & Security systems.
Working within a defined region of the United Kingdom, you will have the opportunity to obtain certifications in industry leading systems including Gent and earn through our engineering commission scheme!
The role of Works Engineer:
- Carry out all necessary works required at customer premises in accordance with the Company's quality standards.
- Effectively communicate with customers to ensure a good understanding of system and site status.
- Liaise with works administrators and other internal stakeholders to ensure our commitments are met.
- Work to a planned schedule, including emergency call out requirements.

- Fire - Gent, Notifier, Advanced
- CCTV - HikVision, Avigilon, Dahua
- Intruder - Galaxy, Texecom
- Access Control - Paxton, Honeywell, Gallagher

What skills do you need?
- Experience in servicing, installing and completing small works fire, security, CCTV and access control systems to relevant British Standards.
- Ability to identify all types of cable associated with fire detection and security systems, and to correctly test and terminate the cable ends in accordance with manufacturers' instructions.
- A logical approach to system fault diagnosis and rectification.
- To always provide outstanding customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
What technical knowledge do you need?
- Understand the basic building services to test cause and effect of fire alarm interfaces.
- A comprehensive understanding of the causes and cures of fire, intruder, CCTV and access control problems, including an ability to recommend changes to practices and processes that may cause false alarms as well as recommending changes to the systems.
- Basic Electrical Safety training (ECA).
- Manufacturers training with a minimum requirement of Notifier and Gent equipment in respect of servicing.
