In this key role, you’ll keep our clients’ Smoke Control and AOV systems performing at their best—safeguarding people, property, and businesses when it matters most. Whilst helping internal customers such as service, sales and estimating.
The successful candidate will be at the forefront of a successful, growing department, concentrating on Specialist Fire Systems. You will have the opportunity to help build a team around you.

The Role
As an AOV / Smoke Control Engineer at Trinity, you will be completing scheduled servicing and remedials in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to Trinity’s high-quality standards.
You will be working as part of a skilled team of Service Engineer’s and will be supported by our wider support departments to provide high quality service and customer experience.
The key tasks include the following:
Effectively communicate with customers to ensure a good understanding of system and site status.
Carrying out site surveys for prospective new work/sales/remedials/quality checks on subcontractors.
Liaise with service administrators and other internal stakeholders to ensure our service commitments are met.
Work to a planned service and maintenance schedule, emergency call out requirements.
Issue remedial repairs and minor additions to existing installations in line with service administration guidance.
What skills do you need?
Experience in servicing and maintaining automatic opening vents (AOVs), smoke vents and automated dampers
Ability to identify all types of cable associated with AOV systems, and to correctly test and terminate the cable ends in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions.
A logical approach to system fault diagnosis and rectification.
To always provide outstanding customer service.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
What technical knowledge do you need?
Understand the basic building services to test cause and effect of Smoke Control systems.
A comprehensive understanding of the causes and cures of AOV and Smoke Control problems, including an ability to recommend changes to practices and processes that may cause false alarms as well as recommending changes to the systems.
Basic Electrical Safety training (ECA).
