Design Estimator - Fire & Security Systems

Trinity Fire & Security Systems is seeking a skilled Design Estimator to join our dedicated Design team, delivering high-quality solutions for nationally recognised organisations.

This is a technically rewarding role where you will design bespoke fire and security systems and produce accurate, competitive quotations using industry-leading software such as Bluebeam.

You will manage projects from pre-tender through to post-tender, working closely with clients, sales, and project teams to ensure every solution is technically sound, commercially viable, and fully compliant with current standards and regulations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire & Security professional looking to take the next step into a design-focused role.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Quoting: Prepare detailed, accurate costings for fire alarm, CCTV, access control, intruder alarm, and other life-safety and security systems.
  • System Design: Develop compliant, tailored fire and security solutions that meet client requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Project

Coordination: Work collaboratively with Sales, Project Management, and Engineering teams to ensure designs are practical, buildable, and aligned with Trinity's quality standards.

  • Documentation: Maintain precise and up-to-date records of designs, quotations, and client communications within the CRM system.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed of emerging technologies, product developments, and changes in standards, legislation, and market trends.

What We're Looking For

You might already be an Estimator - or perhaps an Engineer ready to take the next step. You'll have:

  • Knowledge of fire alarm systems and BS5839 standards.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a customer-first attitude.
  • Firequal Fundamentals certification or equivalent.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when needed.
