Commissioning Engineer – Fire & Security Systems

Region: South Coast On-Target Earnings: Up to Β£60,000 (inclusive of overtime, travel pay and bonuses) Sign-On Bonus: Β£4,000

Trinity Fire & Security is looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join our team, delivering high-quality commissioning and technical support across a diverse portfolio of commercial clients.

You will commission a wide range of fire and security systems, ensuring compliance, reliability and exceptional customer service. You'll be supported by dedicated Coordinators and Technical Specialists, allowing you to focus on delivering outstanding engineering standards.

Systems You'll Work With

Fire Systems: Gent, Notifier, Advanced, Protec and other open-protocol systems.

CCTV: Hikvision, Dahua, Avigilon.

Intruder Alarms: Galaxy, Texecom.

Access Control: Paxton, Honeywell, Gallagher.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned commissioning of fire and security systems.

  • Diagnose faults and deliver effective, compliant solutions.

  • Provide professional technical advice and updates to customers.

  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation.

  • Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant standards and company procedures.

About You

We're looking for a technically capable and customer-focused engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality work.

  • Proven experience commissioning fire alarm and/or electronic security systems.

  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

  • Good knowledge of relevant British Standards.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Strong technical understanding with a focus on electrical safety (ECA or equivalent desirable).

  • Full UK driving licence.
