Suppression Engineer – Fire & Gas Suppression Systems
Location: Somerset/Wilts/Gloucestershire
Salary: Competitive base salary + uncapped Engineer commission scheme

The role of Suppression Engineer
As a Suppression Engineer at Trinity, you will be completing scheduled maintenance in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to Trinity’s high-quality standards. You will be working as part of a skilled team of Specialist Engineer’s and will be supported by our wider support departments to provide high quality service and customer experience.
The key tasks include the following:
- Effectively communicate with customers to ensure a good understanding of system and site status.
- Liaise with service administrators and other internal stakeholders to ensure our service commitments are met.
- Work to a planned maintenance schedule. Issue remedial repairs and minor additions to existing installations in line with administration guidance.

Control Panels – Kentec Sigma XT
Integrity Test Equipment – Retrotec
What skills do you need?
- Experience in servicing and maintaining fire & gas suppression systems.
- Ability to carry out electrical Remedial works such as changing devices, installing batteries and adding additional devices.
- A logical approach to system fault diagnosis and rectification.
- To always provide outstanding customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
What technical knowledge do you need?
- Understand the basic building services to test cause and effect of fire alarm interfaces.
- A comprehensive understanding of the causes and cures of suppression problems, including an ability to recommend changes to practices and processes that may cause false alarms as well as recommending changes to the systems.
- A thorough understanding of BS6266, BS5839, BS7273 & BSEN15004
- Basic Electrical Safety training (ECA).
