Service Engineer – Fire & Security Systems (Fire alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Intruder)
Location: Bracknell (No London Travel)
Salary: Competitive base salary + uncapped Engineer commission scheme

The role of Service Engineer
As a Service Engineer at Trinity, you will be completing scheduled servicing in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to Trinity’s high-quality standards. You will be working as part of a skilled team of Service Engineers and will be supported by our wider support departments to provide high quality service and customer experience.
The key tasks include the following:
- Effectively communicate with customers to ensure a good understanding of system and site status.
- Liaise with service administrators and other internal stakeholders to ensure our service commitments are met.
- Work to a planned service and maintenance schedule, emergency call out requirements. Issue remedial repairs and minor additions to existing installations in line with service administration guidance.

Fire – Gent, Notifier, Advanced, Protec & other open protocol/conventional systems
CCTV – HikVision, Avigilon, Dahua
Intruder – Galaxy, Texecom
Access Control – Paxton, Honeywell, Gallagher
What skills do you need?
- Experience in servicing and maintaining fire, security & CCTV systems to relevant British Standards.
- Ability to identify all types of cable associated with fire detection and security systems, and to correctly test and terminate the cable ends in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions.
- A logical approach to system fault diagnosis and rectification.
- To always provide outstanding customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
What technical knowledge do you need?
- Understand the basic building services to test cause and effect of fire alarm interfaces.
- A comprehensive understanding of the causes and cures of fire, intruder, CCTV and access control problems, including an ability to recommend changes to practices and processes that may cause false alarms as well as recommending changes to the systems.
- Basic Electrical Safety training (ECA).
