Job Description

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join a well-established business in Birmingham City Centre on a temporary contract basis. This role will be focused on assisting with the winding down of the business, supporting the accounts function, and ensuring a smooth transition during the closure process.\\nKey Responsibilities:\\nOversee and manage the accounting function, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the winding-down process.\\nSupport the preparation of financial statements and reports.\\nManage cash flow and ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately.\\nCoordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address financial matters.\\nAssist with the finalisation of accounts and ensure all liabilities are accounted for.\\nProvide advice and support to senior management on financial and accounting matters during this transition period.\\nKey Skills & Experience:\\nPrevious experience in a Financial Controller or similar role.\\nStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial management.\\nExperience with managing accounts during a business closure or transition.\\nAbility to work independently and manage your time effectively.\\nHigh attention to detail and strong organisational skills.\\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\\nAdditional Information:\\n * Flexible salary depending on experience.\\n * Hybrid working available.\\n * Flexible working hours tailored to suit your needs.\\n * Early finish on Fridays.\\n * Based in Birmingham City Centre, easily accessible via train from various locations\\nChoice of hours: 7am – 3:30pm Monday to Thursday & 7am – 12pm on Friday OR 8am – 4:30pm Monday to Thursday & 8am – 1pm on Friday
