Job Description
The role of Senior Accounts Assistant is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective administration, control, processing and payment of supplier invoices.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
- Ensure accurate and timely supplier payments, invoice processing, and ledger maintenance in line with internal procedures and supplier terms.
- Maintain clean and reconciled supplier accounts, resolving aged, queried or lost items and managing balances for new or lost sites.
- Respond promptly to urgent requests and maintain clear, effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor service delivery against SLAs, ensuring compliance with financial controls, data accuracy and fraud prevention protocols.
- Support continuous improvement efforts, identifying and implementing process enhancements to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Collaborate across departments and assist with ad‑hoc tasks or projects to support team operations and protect the business’s reputation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an office‑based role.
- Personable and resilient, with confidence to handle challenging supplier interactions.
- Analytical and curious, with a drive for process improvement and system development.
- Organised, self‑motivated and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with good judgement and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
