We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment in Dudley. The successful candidate will oversee the maintenance team, implement preventative maintenance strategies, ensure health & safety compliance, and drive continuous improvement across plant, equipment, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day maintenance operations and team performance
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programmes
- Ensure compliance with H&S, environmental, and statutory regulations
- Coordinate equipment inspections, breakdown response, and contractor management
- Support site improvement projects and energy efficiency initiatives
- Maintain asset registers and SAP purchase requisitions
Essential Requirements
- HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering
- IOSH Supervising Safely (or equivalent)
- Previous maintenance leadership experience within heavy industrial/manufacturing environments
- Strong communication, organisation, and team leadership skills
- Good Microsoft Office knowledge
Desirable
- SAP experience
- First Aid trained
- Train-the-trainer experience
Shift Pattern: Mon–Thurs 06:00–14:00 | Fri 06:00–12:00 Some flexibility required for breakdown support and essential maintenance work
