Are you looking for a new Buyer role in the Droitwich area? We have a new opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join a successful manufacturing company. The role involves sourcing and purchasing raw materials from UK and international suppliers. Main responsibilities include: * Acting as a key contact in the Purchasing team, buying items ranging from small components to castings and raw materials * Working from technical drawings * Sourcing and developing new suppliers * Identifying and reporting cost savings * Managing lead times and updating the ERP system * Managing the MRP system * Working closely with the shopfloor manager and technical team when required * Providing cover for other Purchasing team members during holidays The ideal candidate will: * Have previous purchasing experience in a busy manufacturing environment * Be able to work from technical drawings * Be confident buying a wide range of materials and components * Have strong communication skills * Be computer literate with good attention to detail * Hold a CIPS qualification (desirable but not essential) Working hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:15am – 4:45pm Friday: 8:15am – 3:30pm Salary: Negotiable depending on experience This is an immediate opportunity for the right candidate
