About the role

The Lead Business Analyst will lead and manage a team of Business Analysts, overseeing analysis and specification activities across a diverse portfolio of projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality business and systems analysis that underpins effective IT solutions aligned with Trinity's enterprise architecture and strategic objectives. Working in close collaboration with Project Managers, technical teams, and the Product team, you will play a key role in translating business needs into technology solutions. Additionally, you will provide leadership in maintaining analysis standards, promoting best practices, and driving continuous improvement across the business analysis function.

Your duties will include, but not limited, to the following areas:

About you

Significant experience working as a Business Analyst on complex IT and digital projects across the full software development lifecycle. Proven team leadership or line management experience within a business analysis function. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organisation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality documentation. Strong technical understanding to support the translation of business needs into effective system designs. Experience producing functional and technical specifications and supporting solution design processes. Demonstrable experience in system and user acceptance testing. Ability to plan, estimate, and manage analysis activities across multiple projects. Proficient in a range of analysis techniques, process modelling, and requirements gathering tools. Experience working with agile delivery teams, particularly alongside Product Owners and UX professionals. Understanding of information governance and data protection (e.g. GDPR). Familiarity with enterprise data models and reporting structures. Background in education, assessment, or global organisations. Awareness of product development lifecycles and customer-centric design principles.
