At this exciting time for the College, we are seeking to appoint a Soft Service Manager who will lead the critical services on general maintenance, portage, space management and decorating across the Trinity College. The role will be accountable for the largest team in the Works Department, providing essential support to the daily operation of the estate. The role will be reporting into the Director of Works and will work closely with the Hard Services Manager and business support teams, which include help desk and procurement services.
The role has 2 direct reports, part of a trade-based service internally. Extensive use of external contractors is made to ensure the role can deliver a cost-effective, timely service.
This challenging key role will require proven experience in leading teams, directing operations and managing modest budgets. You must have excellent interpersonal skills, working proactively and independently. Excellent IT skills, using Excel, Word, Adobe, and CAFM programmes software will be essential.
Trinity College, Cambridge, is the largest of the 31 Cambridge Colleges and contains a substantial and intensively used group of buildings of considerable architectural distinction constructed over a period spanning some 600 years. The buildings house the living accommodations of students and Fellows, together with dining, recreational, studying and support facilities.
