At this exciting time for the College, we are seeking to appoint an experienced Project Manager, to lead, direct and deliver medium and large-scale capital projects including those arising from the College Masterplan, a strategic document recommending a set of projects that will transform the environment and facilities for students, Fellows and staff.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the maintenance and refurbishment of existing buildings as well as the construction of new, sustainable and inclusive new-builds.Project values will range from £250K to circa £20 million.
This challenging key role will require someone with significant experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously, including large and complex capital programmes, but who will also give the same dedication to smaller projects as needed.You will need to be able to demonstrate success with managing and delivering the full lifecycle programmes, working within budgets, building standards compliance, timescales and quality.Effective senior stakeholder management skills, communicating at all levels both internally and externally with consultants, contractors, local authorities and heritage specialists will be essential.
This role will be part of the senior management team within Works headed by the Director of Works.The role will work closely with a Programme Manager, our heads of hard and soft facilities services, and the business management team, including a lead on procurement. Close liaison with a team of 6 trade supervisors in supporting the wide range of services to the whole college community will also be essential.
Trinity College, Cambridge is the largest of the 31 Cambridge Colleges and contains a substantial and intensively used group of buildings of considerable architectural distinction constructed over a period spanning some 600 years.The buildings house the living accommodations of students and Fellows, together with dining, recreational, studying and support facilities.
