Trinity College, founded by Henry VIII in 1546, is the largest and one of the most impressive of the Cambridge Colleges with some 720 undergraduates, 350 postgraduates and 190 Fellows, plus some 350 staff. Staff can enjoy working in beautiful surroundings and within magnificent buildings which include the Great Court and Nevile’s Court.

We are seeking to appoint a part-time Cellar Assistant to provide a first-rate service receiving wines from suppliers and making deliveries to various parts of the College for College functions as required. The job holder will maintain proper delivery and stock records and ensure careful handling and storage of wines in the Cellar.

You should have knowledge of stock control with excellent customer service and organisational abilities. An understanding of the storage of wine would be an advantage. Health and safety is an important part of this role, in particular manual handling, as you will be expected to lift and transport cases of wine around College. Proficient IT skills are also required, using Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.

This is a part-time role, working 17.5 hours per week, 9.00am – 12.30pm, Monday to Friday. Salary is £11,976 per annum (£24,807 FTE). In addition to the salary, we offer a benefits package, which includes contributory pension scheme, private health and dental care and subsidised gym (subject to eligibility).
