About The Role: Within our First Response division, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee First Response Technician. This role involves working independently in customers’ homes, making safe, professional decisions while following agreed processes and standards. It’s an exciting entry‑level opportunity that will give you the chance to learn and grow in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, assisting with fire, water, and accidental damage restoration projects.
Key Responsibilities: As a Trainee First Response Technician, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our experienced team with the restoration of properties damaged by fire, water, or other accidental damage. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with restoring, drying, and sanitising tasks following water or fire damage.
- Providing excellent customer service to policyholders and other relevant parties.
- Carrying out mitigation works in a property to prevent any secondary damage being caused.
- Helping to monitor and install correct drying equipment on‑site.
- Participating in assessments and reporting, ensuring that all necessary documents, photographs, and communications are accurately recorded.
- Working closely with our First Response Technicians and Team Leaders to ensure timely and high‑quality service delivery.
- Always maintaining health and safety standards.
- Adaptability and understanding that the nature of our work is reactive, and so can involve irregular working hours from time to time.
Key Requirements: We want someone who is driven, customer‑focused, and eager to learn. As an employer we will provide you with full training, which is a mix of on‑the‑job learning, shadowing and formal development. The ideal candidate will have:
