We are seeking a skilled and experienced Qualified Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in a variety of settings. Your place of work will be in and around the Redditch area.

We’ll need you to be able to:

  • Installation: Install new electrical wiring, conduits, and fixtures; install electrical control panels and distribution boards; install and configure electrical systems, including lighting, power outlets, and security systems.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems; troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and malfunctions; test electrical circuits and equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Repair: Diagnose and repair electrical problems in a timely and efficient manner; replace faulty electrical components, such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all electrical codes and safety regulations; maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all electrical work performed.
  • Quality Control: Inspect work for accuracy and adherence to building codes and regulations; troubleshoot and resolve construction issues.

We’re Looking for:

  • Experience / knowledge: Previous experience working in the insurance industry, or complaint support, ideally a minimum of 2 years.
  • Qualifications: Valid electrician's license or certification (NAP IT or NICEIC); proven experience as a qualified electrician; strong understanding of electrical theory, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Skills: Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment; ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics; strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; attention to detail and accuracy; ability to work independently and as part of a team; must be able to test and sign off own works.
