Are you looking for a rewarding role, where you can make real change and impact the lives of the children you work with, whilst developing your skills and experience within a supportive environment? If so, Trinity Primary School wants to hear from you!

Tucked within the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside is Trinity, a primary school situated in the quaint village of Aldwincle, with connections to Kettering, Thrapston and Corby in under 20 minutes. Here, children thrive and are challenged within an environment that champions innovative learning and creative thinking, through a broad and balanced curriculum, delivered by staff who share in our vision, to nurture their social, emotional, and spiritual development, as equally as the growth of knowledge.

At Trinity, we believe that children learn best when they can take ownership of their learning and are inspired by their subject. Therefore, we employ enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and supportive specialists, to deliver our engaging, innovative curriculum and inspire everyone to reach their God-given potential.

We are seeking a HLTA to join our team and support us in our mission to provide the very best in education for the children of Trinity. Please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification for further detail on the responsibilities of this role.

Following a successful Ofsted Inspection in June 2023, our school has received a very well-deserved rating of Good. Ofsted Inspectors commented that relationships between pupils and staff are ‘warm and considerate’ with pupils stating, ‘there’s such a nice, safe atmosphere here.’ Central to our success is our amazing staffing team, who work hard to create a calm, settled learning environment for our pupils, who are polite and proud of their work, with positive attitudes towards learning. We are therefore looking for our newest HLTA to work to uphold these expectations and contribute to this environment.

We are seeking someone who:

  • Enthusiastic, approachable and friendly
  • Experienced in delivering cover for Class Teachers
  • Ensures all children feel safe, happy and able to learn
  • Understanding of the curriculum and pastoral needs of primary aged children
  • Able to deliver and evaluate lessons, giving feedback when needed
  • Confident in using a range of behaviour management skills
  • Ability to work effectively, flexibly and independently
  • Supportive of the ethos of a Church and Trust school

In return, Trinity Primary School are proud to offer a ‘welcoming, happy’ environment, that places our values at the heart of everything we do - children and staff alike. Our Christian faith guides our decisions and attitudes and promotes the development of a safe, loving and caring environment for all to learn, blossom and grow.

Trinity school has been a proud member of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust since February 2019, alongside 35 other schools in the Rutland, Peterborough and Northamptonshire area. PDET is responsible for employing all staff and managing the finances and other central services for the Academies in the Trust. These services include HR support; facilities and premises; procurement and school effectiveness.

Trinity CE Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance.

Please note CVs will not be accepted and Application Forms should be completed in full. Any gaps in employment must be identified and justified. We reserve the right to close our adverts early when we have received a sufficient number of applicants - so please don't delay in applying!
