We are looking for a highly capable and committed Head of Religious Education to lead and develop our R.E. provision. You will teach across the key stages, contribute to curriculum planning and assessment, and work with the department to maintain high standards of student achievement and engagement. We are looking for strong subject knowledge, leadership potential, and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Teach across the key stages.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and assessment within the Religious Education Department.
  • Work with the department to maintain high standards of student achievement and engagement.
  • Lead and develop the Religious Education provision to support department and school goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and continuous improvement across key stages.
  • Maintain and monitor high standards of classroom practice and student outcomes.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Strong subject knowledge in Religious Education.
  • Leadership potential and collaborative mindset.
  • Experience teaching Edexcel GCSE Religious Education and OCR A Level (KS5 experience is advantageous).
  • Ability to teach across mixed ability groups from Year 7 upwards.

Note: The role includes the possibility to teach KS5 if the successful applicant has relevant experience.
