We are a music specialist school which means:
- 10% of our students gain entrance to the school through a music aptitude test
- All year 7 students are offered a free instrument and heavily discounted lessons
- All year 7 and 8 students sing in a weekly choir
- Key Stage 3 students receive 2 weekly 50 minute lessons
- A third of our students have instrumental/vocal lessons, 40 of them are on drums and we now have a waiting list.
- Complete support from the Headteacher, the Leadership team and the Trust in prioritising music
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Drum Teacher to join our team of Peripatetic teachers from April 2026. Applicants should hold the equivalent of teaching diploma, Conservatoire/University performance degree qualification or have a proven track record of excellence. This is a self-employed position with approximately 4 hours work per week at a rate of £39 per hour. The work could expand as student numbers grow.
