TrinIT Talent are looking for an experienced SC Cleared Performance Test Engineer to come on board for an initial 6 month contract based in Leeds (50% onsite, 50% remote). This role falls Inside IR35 and is paying £350 per day.

We are looking for an experienced Performance Test Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale, business-critical systems by designing and executing robust performance testing strategies. You will work closely with development, infrastructure and DevOps teams to ensure applications are scalable, resilient and performant across modern cloud and containerised environments.

You will be responsible for creating and executing performance, load, stress and volume tests, analysing results, identifying bottlenecks and providing recommendations to improve overall system performance.

Key Skills:

  • MUST HAVE CURRENT AND ACTIVE SC CLEARANCE
  • Proven experience designing, executing and analysing performance, load, stress and volume tests
  • Strong experience defining Performance Test Strategies and Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs)
  • Excellent knowledge of performance testing tools including JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, Eggplant Performance or similar
  • Experience performance testing cloud-based solutions across Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Strong understanding of monitoring and observability tools including Grafana, Splunk, New Relic and Dynatrace
  • Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong Scripting skills using Python and/or JavaScript for test automation and analysis
  • Ability to investigate complex performance issues and provide clear, actionable recommendations
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of Kafka and/or IBM MQ
  • Experience with the ELK Stack and reporting tools such as Tableau
  • Exposure to GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Git and CI/CD pipelines
  • Understanding of security and compliance considerations within performance testing
  • Experience integrating performance testing into CI/CD delivery pipelines
