The European Business Development Manager is responsible for initiating, qualifying, and converting leads in the downstream Oil & Gas sector to generate revenue for the company. Based in the UK or Europe, the role develops new market initiatives and deploys targeted commercial and marketing strategies to achieve market penetration and exceed revenue targets. Reporting to the President, the role manages new and existing customer partnerships and relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the business plan for the sales practice, estimate sales potential, identify key clients, devise strategies, identify collaboration opportunities, and actively contribute to business planning.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with senior and C-level client executives and expand professional networks in client organizations.
  • Analyze probability of winning deals, negotiate terms of assessment/engagement with the client.
  • Obtain confirmation and approval from internal stakeholders to ensure timely and smooth closure of deals.
  • Educate on Trindent differentiators (e.g., consulting frameworks, intellectual property), articulate value proposition, review financials, and lead proposal presentations to create a compelling client value proposition.
  • Leverage internal and external networks to identify clients where services provide significant business value and help create multi-million-dollar relationships.
  • Mentor and manage business development associates; set sales targets for the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 10+ years’ business development experience in an operations management consulting company, preferably in the downstream Oil & Gas sector.
  • Experience building, cultivating and sustaining relationships with C-suite level clients.
  • Robust negotiation skills and ability to lead key negotiations at a senior level.
  • Skilled in qualifying business from a service perspective, including determining client service needs, estimating scope and resources, and developing initial approach and work stream plans.
  • Ability to develop and ensure successful execution of complex, multi-faceted sales strategy/implementation.
  • Ability to plan and accomplish goals; ability to inspire and motivate teams and clients to act with urgency to achieve engagements and solve complex business issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability and willingness to travel extensively locally and internationally up to 50% of the time.
