We are looking for a Structured Finance & M&A Specialist to join our Structured Finance and M&A team, supporting the origination, structuring and execution of financing and corporate transactions for energy infrastructure projects. The role will focus on project finance transactions, as well as M&A processes on both the buy-side and sell-side, across solar PV, battery storage and energy infrastructure assets. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, lenders, investors, advisors, and other stakeholders.
- Support the structuring, negotiation and execution of project finance transactions.
- Prepare, review and update financial models, assist in the preparation of lender materials, interact with banks, manage due diligence processes.
- Support buy-side and sell-side M&A processes, assist in the preparation of teasers, information memoranda, management presentations, process letters and investment committee papers.
- Coordinate due diligence processes with internal departments and external advisors.
- Support the review of transaction documentation, including share purchase agreements, joint venture agreements and shareholder agreements.
- Conduct market, regulatory, competitor and comparable transaction analysis to support investment decisions.
- Assist with the preparation of recommendations for internal approval committees.
Requirements:
- University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Law + Finance, or a similar field.
- Master's degree in Finance, Corporate Finance, Energy, MBA or similar would be a plus.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in project finance, structured finance, M&A, investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory or similar roles.
- Experience in financial modeling, specifically for project finance or M&A (required).
- Experience in infrastructure, renewable energy, solar PV, BESS, utilities or energy transition would be highly valued.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Fluent in French would be highly valued.
