Main Responsibilities
- Identify and screen potential data center development sites.
- Secure and coordinate critical resources for local data center projects, including land rights, permits, government approvals, environmental impact assessments, power quotas, and grid connection.
- Ensure full compliance with local policies and sustainable development requirements.
- Conduct due diligence for data center acquisition and co-development opportunities.
- Develop business pipelines and identify co-developers or strategic partners to source viable data center opportunities.
- Liaise with government agencies, energy authorities, grid companies, data center operators, investors, and construction stakeholders (e.g., EPC contractors, equipment vendors).
- Build, establish, and maintain long term, stable cooperative relationships.
- Adopt a customer centric approach to deeply understand client needs.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver and implement clean energy solutions aligned with key requirements such as energy efficiency (e.g., PUE).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in science, Engineering, Energy Management, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of data center project development or project management experience; or minimum 5 years of new energy project development experience.
- Familiar with industry trends in data centers and new energy.
- Possess existing relationships and access to local government bodies, energy departments, and grid operators, familiar with local project approval processes.
- Prior experience and networks with cloud providers, data center/hyperscale operators, investors, telecom carriers, or AI computing companies are strongly preferred.
- Proficient in the full data center project development lifecycle.
- Understand core technical indicators and relevant solutions.
- Familiar with project development and execution (approval, due diligence, feasibility studies, tendering, etc.).
- Ability to integrate internal resources efficiently and drive project delivery.
- Strong risk identification and mitigation skills.
