Responsibilities
- Promote a strong safety culture by engaging with site teams and stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain H&S systems in line with ISO 45001 standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with H&S legislation.
- Lead or support incident and accident investigations, including RIDDOR reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Oversee contractor H&S compliance and implement site-wide safety audits.
- Deliver or coordinate H&S training such as manual handling, first aid, and toolbox talks.
- Maintain chemical safety records and approved substances database (HAZMAT).
- Track safety trends, produce H&S reports, and share lessons learned across sites.
- Manage onboarding and compliance checks for all contractors.
- Identify and drive continual improvements in safety performance across the contract.
