Job Summary:
The Senior Associate, Credit Administration is crucial in managing a portfolio of Commercial Real Estate loans from drawdown through to redemption. This role involves working within the Credit Administration functional area to ensure timely and accurate servicing of a portfolio of loans for institutional clients. The Senior Associate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain robust processes, timely communication and compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a portfolio of syndicated and bilateral UK and European commercial real estate investment and development loans, where Trimont serves as Facility Agent and/or Security Agent.
- Collaborate closely with Trimont’s in-house Legal team and, when necessary, external counsel to review finance documentation both prior to loan closing and throughout the loan lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain financial models; track conditions subsequent, construction milestones, and other key events; and ensure borrower reporting is provided in accordance with the requirements of the relevant finance documents.
- Engage with borrowers and their representatives to ensure timely submission of all reporting and information required under the finance agreements.
- Coordinate with lenders, borrowers, and their respective legal advisors on matters related to loan redemptions, restructurings, amendments, waivers, and other ad hoc requests.
- Manage loan transfers, establish waterfall structures, and review back-office calculations for accuracy and compliance.
- Liaise with project monitors, borrowers, and lenders regarding loan drawdowns, including the calculation of lender splits where applicable.
- Instruct and manage property valuations as required.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, effectively manage tight deadlines, maintain exceptional attention to detail, and prioritise workloads efficiently.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ loan servicing experience in finance, real estate or a related field.
- Solid analytical skills with interim to advanced level ability of Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated capacity to achieve results in a dynamic setting.
- Organizational and administrative skills that reflect attention to detail and the ability to prioritize amidst competing demands.
- Skilled in managing sensitive information while upholding privacy.
- Handling workload and special projects efficiently.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
