Job Summary:
The Associate, CAM (Credit and Asset Management) will manage a portfolio of CRE (Commercial Real Estate) loans secured by UK and European commercial real estate investments and developments for an institutional client. They will assist in reviewing finance documents prior to loan closing and throughout the loan\’s life. The Associate will also be assisting with financial modelling, reviewing waiver and modification requests, and managing IPDs (Interest Payment Date), repayments, and revolving loans.
Responsibilities:
- Support the management of a portfolio of CRE (Commercial Real Estate) loans secured by UK and European real estate investments and developments for an institutional client.
- Assist in reviewing finance documents prior to loan closing and throughout the loan\’s duration.
- Serve as a secondary point of contact for daily management of each loan.
- Help in creating financial models and track significant loan events as detailed in the finance documents.
- Consult with borrowers and facility agents to ensure accurate and timely reporting and information provision.
- Assist in reviewing waiver and modification requests, and support analysis and underwriting to assess client impact.
- Aid in managing IPDs, repayments, and revolving loans.
- Support the syndication process, including material preparation and data room setup.
- Review draft transfers, waterfalls, and calculations for accuracy.
- Produce internal quarterly and ad-hoc reports using client templates and systems.
- Evaluate data and metrics across each facility to ensure portfolio accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance preferred
- 2+ years’ experience in loan management within finance, real estate, or a similar sector.
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel, including intermediate to advanced functions.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a team.
- Resilient and adaptable, capable of thriving in fast-paced, high-pressure settings.
- Skilled in multitasking and meeting deadlines efficiently.
