Trimble is looking for an operational lead to transform our global R&D processes and maximize execution velocity!

What Makes This Role Great: In this role, you will be the core operations lead for the Owners and Public Sector Product organization, directly driving a 30-40% increase in development velocity and shaping the future of product delivery by embedding AI-Native processes into a global R&D environment.

Key Exciting Responsibilities:

  • Orchestrate the transition to an AI-Native Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC), utilizing AI-synthesized dependency mapping and measuring automated code generation.
  • Formulate and aggregate annual business plans, growth bridges, and measurable OKRs across diverse product lines to align with leadership, sales, and finance.
  • Establish and govern the PMO structure, running Quarterly Portfolio Reviews and tracking granular milestones to provide early warning risk detection.
  • Drive operational excellence by standardizing the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for key launches across marketing, sales, and support.
  • Cultivate an innovative culture where product teams leverage advanced AI tools for market research, story drafting, and rapid prototyping.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • You have 8+ years of proven program management, product management, or business operations experience managing complex portfolios.
  • Strong systems thinker with operational rigor to identify, manage, and fix complex process dependencies and R&D risks.
  • Solid financial acumen with the ability to leverage financial data, budget development, and forecasting to drive critical decisions.
  • Exceptional matrix influence to lead cross-functional relationships across Product Management, UX, and Engineering leaders.

Bonus Points For:

  • Hands-on experience implementing AI productivity tools (such as Cursor or Claude) to accelerate personal and team workflows.
  • Active curiosity and specialized experience validating automated product delivery metrics or defect reduction pipelines.

Logistics:

  • Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne - Office Based 4 days per week.
  • Travel Requirement: 10%.
