As a Product Marketing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in defining the vision and strategy for Trimble’s monitoring, tunneling, and mining businesses in the Field Systems sector. You will collaborate closely with product managers, providing crucial feedback on market intelligence, customer needs, and pricing. Your insights will drive effective go-to-market plans, empowering sales and marketing communications teams. As a key liaison across different departments, you'll work with product managers, sales, customer success, operations, distributors, and global marketing communications. In this role, you will be responsible for orchestrating product success as measured by revenue growth, market position, and profitability.

You will work closely with product development, internal sales, channel partners, and end-users to ensure internal prioritization, alignment, and effective advocacy. Ultimate success in the position will be determined by the individual’s ability to intimately understand the product environment, articulate objectives that lead to success, and partner with the wider Trimble community. This role provides international travel opportunities and coordination of events with local Trimble distribution partners and customer and distribution partner site visits.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensures support for the product is in place at the time of release and monitors the support to ensure it remains consistent with the outlined objectives.
  • Create strategic partnerships and alignment to open new market segments and opportunities to support key initiatives.
  • Oversee technical management of the portfolio including quality control, testing and performance analysis of new and existing technologies, and defining technology requirements for customer projects and product development.
  • Conduct customer interviews and gain hands-on experience to ensure market suitability, collate feedback for engineering teams, and manage relationships with Trimble distributors, customers, and internal teams.
  • Manage products throughout the product lifecycle including definition, execution, release, and ongoing management and support.
  • Identify gaps in the product portfolio and develop business plans to address them, monitor product performance, and manage development priorities with engineering teams.
  • Generate marketing and product release materials, schedule sales training and dealer webinars, and work with dealers and end-users on training, support, beta testing, and market research.
  • Support distributors in the preparation of quotations, including providing quotation templates and reviewing quotations before submitting them to end customers.
  • Prepare market requirements and feature design documentation based on voice of customer research and market feedback.
  • Organize and participate in industry events, and trade shows, and travel as needed to Trimble offices, distributors, and customers worldwide.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field of study, Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Surveying Engineering, or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of 3+ years of direct experience in the minimum industry.
  • Domain expertise in surveying, monitoring, and mining operations is preferred.
  • Able to take general guidance and apply it to other situations, working with minimal direction.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority through consensus building, networking, and effective presentation of sound business reasoning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to communicate details with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Effective global collaboration through the use of synchronous and asynchronous communication methods and working across multiple time zones.
  • Proven track record of creative problem-solving with strong organizational skills.
  • Effective time management and ability to work in a dynamic environment while responding to changing priorities.
  • Must represent the Monitoring, Mining, and Tunneling team in a large organization, ensuring project success through collaboration and gaining buy-in from other Trimble groups not under direct control.
  • Must demonstrate and project a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Accept a high level of personal responsibility for product success in terms of customer satisfaction from functionality, workflows, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Must demonstrate the willingness to be a change agent and challenge conventional wisdom if the conventional wisdom stands in the way of success.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, DOMO, and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) is preferred.

This role is hiring primarily as an in office role in the Trimble Westminster or Munich office.
