We are seeking an experienced leader to join our Global License Compliance team in a pivotal management role. As the Manager of License Compliance for EMEA and the Americas, you will report directly to the Director of Global License Compliance and lead a team of License Compliance Managers and Agencies across these territories. This quota-carrying role will be responsible for the revenue and program aspects of the AECO License Compliance program. In this role, you will be enforcing Trimble intellectual property rights to achieve quarterly revenue goals while also protecting Trimble’s brand reputation. To be successful in this role, you must possess diplomacy and a willingness to work with internal and external stakeholders to find the best outcome for all parties.
What You Will Do:
- Quota Achievement: Drive team achievement of regional license compliance bookings goals by identifying and resolving non-compliant use cases across the region.
- Team Leadership: Lead and unify the field license compliance team across EMEA and the Americas, fostering collaboration, alignment, and operational consistency.
- Strategy Implementation: Implement LC strategies and workflows, including custom approaches per country in line with local laws and regulations.
- Pipeline Management: Monitor and maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and reporting (QTD and YTD) for the EMEA and Americas regions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with regional Sales teams, channel partners, and Legal teams to drive customer compliance and market growth.
- Negotiation Support: Provide direct involvement in C-level negotiations or Legal escalations for larger accounts managed by your direct reports.
- Agency Management: Advise and manage external License Compliance Agencies on adequate licensing settlements and enforcement actions.
- Reporting: Present regular reports on compliance activities, revenue impact, and pipeline health to the Director of License Compliance.
- Education: Ensure best practices are documented and shared within the wider Global LC programme and provide licensing education to internal and external parties.
- Risk Mitigation: Maintain appropriate procedures to minimize legal and reputational risk to Trimble.
What Skills & Experience You Should Bring:
- Experience: 7+ years of License Compliance, Audit, or Anti-piracy experience, preferably with experience managing teams or functional areas.
- Education: Bachelor degree in Law, Business, or a related field.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is highly preferred.
- Technical Tools: Experience with anti-piracy software and hands-on experience managing a team of sellers with Salesforce CRM.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of Software Asset Management tools, best practices, and a strong understanding of software license agreements.
- Soft Skills: Great written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a process-oriented mindset.
- Negotiation: Demonstrated experience managing high-stakes, C-level negotiations and resolving complex compliance issues.
- Independence: Ability to work independently, successfully manage at-scale, and adapt to the local needs of a global organization.
- Travel: Managing a global team requires up to 50% travel and schedule flexibility to accommodate varying time zones.
