Research Finance Administrator
Location: UK (Remote in the UK) | Type: Permanent| Start: ASAP | Hours: Full-time | Salary: Commensurate with experience
Trilateral Research is recruiting for a Research Finance Administrator to join our remote team in the United Kingdom. As part of this team, you will provide research and financial administration support for our colleagues, clients and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate record keeping and management.

What you will do
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Support the preparation of timely and accurate financial claims for research projects, e.g. staff expense claims and external stakeholders’ claims.
Review, correct and manage all staff timesheets related to research projects and the monthly sign off process.
Review the consistency of research staff leave records between internal systems.
Set up new budgets in the financial system.
Assist with the creation of interim financial progress reports for research projects.
Assist with travel related expenses for external parties attending research project events and meetings.
In collaboration with the Corporate Finance team, review and file monthly pay slips into auditable files.
Input accurate data for grant applications and reporting.
Manage the electronic filing of research and financial records and manage shared mailboxes.
Support the Research team in planning and hosting meetings and events as required.
Over time, develop a comprehensive understanding of financial elements of Funder Terms & Conditions, supported by internal and external training.

Excellent IT skills with good knowledge of Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, Outlook & Teams).
Confident in numerical skills.
Ability to collate information from diverse sources and compile reports.
Advanced Excel skills.
Working knowledge of SharePoint.
Interpersonal skills
NFQ Level 5 or above in relevant accounting/finance/administration course.
A minimum of 2 years\' experience in financial administration in a fast-paced professional environment.
Experience working with finance and accountancy software (QuickBooks/Concur preferrable).
Previous experience in cash flow management and financial reconciliation.
Previous experience in research management support in higher education sector or similar environments.
Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Previous remote-working experience.
