Location: Hybrid (with travel 2-3 times per month to client premises or Workpays centres in Liverpool, Nottingham, or Derby), We are seeking a motivated Training and Development Coach/Financial Services Tutor to join our clients Work-Based Learning team. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality training and development support to apprentices across various professional qualifications. This is a largely remote role with occasional travel to learners or our clients centres for teaching and standardisation meetings.
Your primary focus will be supporting apprentices in achieving their qualifications by delivering engaging and interactive sessions and monitoring their progress. You’ll guide learners through their knowledge, skills, and behaviours (KSBs), using tools such as OneFile and BKSB to support their learning journey.
With a caseload of 40-50 learners, you will work across a range of apprenticeships, including (but not limited to); Mortgage Advisor (Level 3), Customer Service Practitioner (Level 2), HR Support (Level 3), Project Management (Level 4), Financial Services Advisor (Level 3), and Senior Financial Services Advisor (Level 3)., Apprenticeship Delivery:

Deliver high-quality training aligned to apprenticeship standards, focusing on Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours (KSBs).

Use a variety of methods, such as remote masterclasses and tailored 1:1 sessions, to support apprentices’ learning.

Provide tailored developmental feedback to guide learners through their programme and prepare them for End-Point Assessment.

Ensure functional skills delivery (English and maths) is embedded into the learning journey for applicable learners.
Learner Progress:
-
Onboard apprentices, ensuring all mandatory paperwork and quality assurance documentation is completed.

Support apprentices in building their portfolio, ensuring all evidence aligns with the required standards.

Monitor and track learner progress, maintaining accurate records on OneFile.
-
Carry out regular progress reviews and provide clear action plans to help apprentices achieve their objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement:

Develop productive relationships with employers to ensure apprentices’ learning aligns with workplace needs.

Act as a key point of contact for apprentices and employers, addressing queries promptly and professionally.

Liaise with the Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) to ensure the quality of teaching and compliance with standards.
General Responsibilities:

Attend standardisation meetings (typically in Derby) to share best practices and maintain consistency.

Contribute to team meetings and training sessions to drive continuous improvement in the apprenticeship portfolio.

Ensure all safeguarding, Prevent, and organisational policies are followed and promoted.

Support the Work-Based Learning Manager with data and insights as needed.

GCSEs at grade A*-C (new grades 4-9) in English and maths (or equivalent).

Experience delivering engaging learning activities, focusing on Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours.

Proven ability to provide detailed developmental feedback to support learner progression.

IT proficient, with experience using systems such as OneFile and BKSB.

Excellent organisational and time management skills, capable of managing a caseload of 40-50 learners., * Assessor qualifications (e.g., CAVA, TAQA, or equivalent – salary capped at £30,000 without)

Functional Skills delivery experience (English and maths up to Level 2).

Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and regulatory frameworks.

Background in Financial Services or similar sectors, qualification such as CeMAP/DipFa.
