About the Role
Trigon Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading National Training Provider, rated Good by Ofsted (Grade 2). We are seeking a passionate and motivated ESOL Tutor to support learners. In this rewarding role, you will empower individuals to build their confidence, improve their English language skills, and develop essential digital capabilities needed for everyday life and the workplace. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong people skills, a flair for teaching, and a genuine commitment to helping others progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging non-accredited ESOL training sessions, tailored to learners with varying levels of English proficiency.
- Teach practical digital skills such as email use, online safety, Microsoft Office basics, and navigating online platforms.
- Provide supportive language development activities, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing tasks.
- Offer hands-on IT support, including setting up email accounts, using attachments, and accessing online services.
- Support learners to apply their English and digital skills in real-life contexts, including communication, community engagement, and employability.
- Deliver both group workshops and tailored 1:1 sessions to meet individual learner needs.
- Set clear, achievable targets and track learner progress using the company database.
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong IT literacy with confidence in teaching basic to intermediate digital skills.
- Experience delivering ESOL, adult education, or language support (formal or informal).
- Proven experience in training delivery or mentoring within education, skills development, or community learning.
- Ability to work effectively with learners of varying ability levels and diverse backgrounds.
- Comfortable facilitating both group workshops and individual coaching sessions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire.
- Organised, target-driven, and able to manage learner progression effectively.
- A genuine passion for helping people achieve their goals and become confident English and digital users.
- Commitment to being available for the duration of the contract.
