Location: Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire

Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum (DOE)

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 (30-minute lunch break)

Working Pattern: Working away Monday to Friday is a core requirement of the role, typically departing on Monday morning and returning on Friday.

Overtime & Allowances:

  • 1.5x hourly rate Monday to Saturday
  • 2x hourly rate Sundays and Bank Holidays
  • £20 per night working away allowance
  • Patch lining bonus of £15 per patch after the first 5 patches completed

Role Overview: We are recruiting an experienced JetVac Operator / Drainage Operator to join a growing drainage solutions team based in Droitwich. This is a hands-on, field-based role supporting drainage and environmental projects across multiple sites throughout the UK. Working alongside CCTV Survey Teams, Patch Lining Engineers and Drainage Specialists, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality drainage maintenance, cleansing and rehabilitation services. As a JetVac Operator, you will operate specialist Jet Vac equipment, support drainage repair works and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. This position is ideal for someone with strong drainage experience who enjoys site-based work and is happy working away during the week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate JetVac equipment to support drainage maintenance and cleaning works
  • Carry out drainage investigations, cleansing and jetting activities
  • Maintain, service and inspect equipment in line with manufacturer guidelines
  • Support drainage repair, patch lining and rehabilitation projects
  • Assist CCTV and drainage survey teams where required
  • Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications

Health, Safety & Compliance:

  • Follow all RAMS, health & safety procedures and company policies
  • Promote safe systems of work on all sites
  • Ensure full compliance with environmental and waste management regulations
  • Complete waste transfer, duty-of-care and compliance documentation accurately
  • Report incidents, near misses and safety concerns appropriately

Customer Service & Communication:

  • Build positive relationships with customers and site representatives
  • Communicate effectively with operational management and project teams
  • Provide updates on site progress and issues
  • Represent the business professionally at all times

Vehicle, Equipment & Documentation:

  • Complete daily vehicle and equipment inspections
  • Maintain JetVac equipment in safe working order
  • Complete job sheets, reports and operational paperwork accurately
  • Ensure all equipment, PPE and tools are maintained and available for operational use

Essential Criteria:

  • Class 2 HGV Licence
  • Proven experience within drainage and jetting operations
  • Strong understanding of RAMS and safe working practices
  • Experience operating JetVac or similar specialist drainage equipment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Willingness to work away from home on a weekly basis

Desirable Criteria:

  • Patch Lining experience
  • UV Lining experience
  • CCTV drainage surveying experience
  • Environmental services or utilities background
  • Confined Space certification
  • High Pressure Water Jetting qualifications
