Role Overview

We are recruiting a reliable and motivated

HGV Forecourt Services Engineer to join a specialist environmental services team based in Brize Norton. As a

HGV Forecourt Services Engineer , you will work across petrol filling stations, fuel distribution centres and commercial sites, delivering a range of essential environmental and drainage services.

This is a varied, hands‑on role combining HGV driving with practical engineering and maintenance activities, supporting customers to maintain compliant and fully operational forecourt infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Forecourt & Environmental Services Delivery
  • Operate as part of a one or two-person team delivering forecourt and environmental services

• Carry out

  • Drain cleaning and jetting operations
  • Interceptor cleaning and maintenance
  • Tank cleaning and servicing
  • Forecourt drainage maintenance
  • Reactive environmental works
  • Support fuel retail and distribution sites with planned and emergency works
  • Identify root causes of system issues and support long‑term solutions
  • HGV Driving & Vehicle Operations
  • Operate HGV and specialist tanker vehicles safely and professionally
  • Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections
  • Ensure vehicles, plant and equipment remain clean, compliant and operational
  • Report vehicle defects, equipment faults and maintenance requirements promptly
  • Comply with all transport legislation and company procedures
  • Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all environmental, health and safety procedures
  • Work in accordance with risk assessments, safe systems of work and industry regulations
  • Report near misses, hazards and incidents appropriately
  • Wear and maintain PPE in accordance with company requirements
  • Promote a positive safety culture across all activities
  • Customer Service & Documentation
  • Liaise professionally with customers and site representatives
  • Keep customers informed regarding ongoing works and recommendations
  • Complete all job sheets, service reports and documentation accurately
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding progress, issues and opportunities
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service
  • Emergency Response & Team Support
  • Participate in emergency and reactive call‑out activities
  • Travel and stay away from home regularly as part of operational requirements
  • Support wider operational teams when required
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and service excellenc
  • Essential Criteria
  • Full UK HGV licence
  • Strong commitment to health and safety
  • Flexible approach to working hours and travel requirements
  • Ability to stay away from home regularly (typically 3–4 nights per week)
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Strong work ethic and practical approach to problem‑solving
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
