Role Overview
We are recruiting a passionate and dedicated Functional Skills English Tutor to deliver high-quality English education within a custodial environment at HMP Belmarsh. As a Functional Skills English Tutor, you will deliver City Guilds Functional Skills English qualifications from Entry Level 1 through to Level 2, helping learners develop the literacy skills, confidence and qualifications needed to progress into employment, further learning and successful rehabilitation.
Working within the Education, Skills Work team, the Functional Skills English Tutor will create engaging, inclusive and learner-focused lessons for groups of up to 12 learners, supporting individuals with a wide range of educational backgrounds, abilities and additional learning needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is passionate about using education to transform lives and create positive outcomes.
