Role Overview

We are recruiting an experienced and motivated Adult Social Care Tutor / Health and Social Care Assessor to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Adult Social Care qualifications up to Level 5. This hybrid role combines remote delivery with face-to-face learner support, requiring travel across the South West region. As an Adult Social Care Tutor / Health and Social Care Assessor, you will support learners throughout their qualification journey, ensuring they develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to succeed within the adult social care sector. The role is ideal for either a qualified assessor or an experienced care professional looking to transition into training, with full support available to achieve relevant teaching and assessing qualifications where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching, Learning & Assessment
    • Qualification Delivery: Deliver and assess Adult Social Care qualifications up to Level 5.
    • Session Planning: Plan and deliver engaging sessions using blended learning methods.
    • Inclusive Approach: Adapt delivery to meet individual learner needs and abilities.
    • Skill Growth: Support learners to develop sector-specific knowledge, skills and behaviours.
  • Learner Support & Progression
    • Learning Plans: Carry out initial assessments and develop individual learning plans.
    • Coaching & Feedback: Provide regular feedback, coaching and guidance to support progress.
    • Timely Completion: Motivate learners to achieve timely completion of their qualifications.
    • Workplace Application: Support learners in applying learning directly to their workplace.
  • Quality, Compliance & Administration
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate learner records and e-portfolio documentation.
    • Standards Compliance: Ensure delivery meets awarding body and compliance standards.
    • Quality Assurance: Prepare for and contribute to quality assurance activities.
    • Safeguarding: Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion in all learning.
  • Delivery & Travel
    • Blended Rota: Deliver a mix of remote (Teams) and face-to-face sessions.
    • Learner Visits: Conduct regular learner visits (typically 2–3 per programme depending on location).
    • Regional Travel: Travel across the South West region as required.
