We are recruiting a motivated and customerâfocused Employment Advisor to support participants on the Restart programme, designed to help individuals progress into sustained employment. As an Employment Advisor, you will manage a caseload of participants, providing tailored oneâtoâone guidance, practical job search support, and ongoing motivation throughout their journey. The Employment Advisor role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fastâpaced, targetâdriven environment and is passionate about helping people overcome barriers to work.
Key Responsibilities
- Participant Engagement & Assessment: Build strong, professional relationships with participants as their dedicated Employment Advisor. Use motivational interviewing and coaching techniques to build confidence and commitment.
- Progression & Job Search Support: Support participants with CV writing, job applications, interview preparation, and job search strategies. Identify appropriate training, interventions, and external support where required. Track participant outcomes and ensure timely progression toward employment. Maintain an upâtoâdate understanding of the local labour market.
- InâWork Support: Provide structured inâwork support to help participants sustain employment. Ensure sustainment activity is recorded accurately and in line with contract requirements.
- Administration, Targets & Quality: Maintain accurate participant records on internal systems to required quality standards. Work toward performance and outcome targets expected of an Employment Advisor. Ensure compliance with data protection, safeguarding, and programme guidelines. Support your Business Manager with performance reviews, audits, and continuous improvement.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience as an Employment Advisor, Recruitment Consultant, or Careers Advisor.
- Knowledge of local labour market opportunities.
