Job Title: Low Carbon/Heat Pump Assessor Location: Hybrid – 50/50 split between home working and on-site (Greater London & South East) Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Role & Client Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Low Carbon/Heat Pump Assessor to join a well-established and growing training provider specialising in construction and building services apprenticeships. In this role, you’ll support apprentices working towards Low Carbon Technologies and Heat Pump qualifications (Air Source and Ground Source), working with a mix of internal and partner organisations across the Greater London and South East regions. This is a rewarding opportunity to guide learners through their training journey, helping them achieve industry-recognised qualifications and meet green skills targets. You’ll work closely with curriculum leads and employers to deliver outstanding learning and assessment aligned with current environmental standards and frameworks. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment in Low Carbon and Heat Pump technologies (up to Level 3). * Conduct on-site and remote observations, assessments and reviews in line with apprenticeship standards. * Support learners in completing 20% off-the-job training and ensure learning plans are effectively tracked. * Prepare learners for End Point Assessment (EPA) and track their progress using e-portfolio systems such as OneFile. * Collaborate with employers and mentors to monitor workplace learning and development. * Work closely with IQAs to ensure delivery meets quality and compliance standards. * Maintain accurate learner records and submit required documentation in line with internal and awarding body deadlines. * Promote sustainability and the importance of low-carbon skills within the curriculum. Essential/Desirable Criteria: Essential: * Assessor qualification (e.g. CAVA, A1) or willingness to work towards. * Recent occupational experience in Heat Pumps and/or Low Carbon Technologies. * Relevant technical qualifications (e.g. LCL or equivalent Heat Pump certification). * Experience delivering or assessing apprenticeships or vocational training. * Strong understanding of current low-carbon and environmental standards. * Familiarity with e-portfolio platforms (e.g. OneFile). * Strong communication and organisation skills. * Ability to work both remotely and on-site. * Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Desirable: * Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent). * Experience in renewable energy systems (e.g. solar thermal, energy efficiency). * Knowledge of Skills Bootcamps or DfE-funded green skills programmes.
