Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Construction Multi‑Skills Tutor to deliver high‑quality vocational training to learners at HMP Wandsworth. In this rewarding role, you will teach a range of construction‑based skills, supporting learners to develop practical knowledge, confidence, and employability. Many learners may have had limited exposure to formal education, so your guidance will have a significant impact on their progression and future opportunities. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, practical lessons across a range of construction multi‑skills disciplines.
- Plan and deliver structured sessions that meet individual learning needs and qualification standards.
- Build learners' confidence, skills, and employment readiness through hands‑on training and theory.

Essential Criteria
- Level 3 vocational qualification or higher in Construction or related field.
- Strong, hands‑on construction industry experience.
- Experience delivering vocational training in a classroom or workshop environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to use varied and engaging teaching methods.
Desirable Criteria
- Teaching or assessing qualification (PTLLS, AET, CAVA, etc.) or willingness to work towards one.
- Experience working within prison education or alternative learning environments.
- Understanding of safeguarding, equality, and diversity within education.
If you do not yet hold a teaching or assessing qualification, full support will be provided during probation to help you gain the required credentials.
