We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Construction Multi‑Skills Tutor to deliver high‑quality vocational training to learners at HMP Wandsworth. In this rewarding role, you will teach a range of construction‑based skills, supporting learners to develop practical knowledge, confidence, and employability. Many learners may have had limited exposure to formal education, so your guidance will have a significant impact on their progression and future opportunities. You will deliver structured lessons to small groups, develop individual learning plans, track progress effectively, and create an inclusive, motivating learning environment that supports achievement and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, practical lessons across a range of construction multi‑skills disciplines.

Essential Criteria
- Level 3 vocational qualification or higher in Construction or related field.
- Strong, hands‑on construction industry experience.
- Experience delivering vocational training in a classroom or workshop environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to use varied and engaging teaching methods.
Desirable Criteria
- Teaching or assessing qualification (PTLLS, AET, CAVA, etc.) or willingness to work towards one.
- Experience working within prison education or alternative learning environments.
- Understanding of safeguarding, equality, and diversity within education.
If you do not yet hold a teaching or assessing qualification, full support will be provided during probation to help you gain the required credentials.
