Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Adult Care Trainer / Assessor to deliver high‑quality teaching, learning, and assessment to adult learners working towards Adult Care qualifications up to and including Level 5. The role involves delivering a blended model of remote learning with some face‑to‑face learner visits across the North West, predominantly covering Liverpool, Chester, and up to Stoke. Candidates based between Stoke and Birmingham will also be considered if willing to travel north for learner visits. We would also like to consider candidates with strong occupational competence for the role; full training will be provided in this instance but salary will be reflective (£31,000 salary or £26,500 + £4500 car allowance). Any unqualified candidates will be put through assessors award and IQA award, salary uplift will be at the top of the bracket upon completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment in Adult Care up to Level 5.
- Support and motivate learners to achieve timely progress and successful completion.
- Complete initial assessments and develop personalised learning plans.
- Provide tailored support through blended delivery, including remote sessions and face‑to‑face visits.
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with awarding body and regulatory requirements.
- Develop learners' knowledge, skills, and behaviours aligned to the Adult Care sector.
- Contribute to internal quality assurance processes.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion at all times.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support continuous improvement.
Essential Criteria
- Occupational competence within the Adult Care sector.
- Level 3 or Higher Adult care qualification.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a caseload independently.
- Confident in using digital platforms such as Teams and e‑portfolio systems.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
Desirable Criteria
- Assessing qualification (CAVA, TAQA, A1, D32/33 or equivalent).
- Teaching qualification.
- Level 4 IQA Award (or willingness to work towards it).
- Experience delivering Adult Care qualifications up to Level 5.
- Experience delivering blended or hybrid learning models.
