Role Overview
We’re seeking a qualified and experienced Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) with a background in Plastering. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing vocational training provider delivering long-term, high-impact apprenticeship programmes across the South East and Greater London. Working in a hybrid model, you will provide high-quality internal quality assurance for apprenticeships in Plastering qualifications. You'll support and mentor assessors, maintain awarding body compliance, and help drive continuous improvement in delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internal quality assurance of apprenticeship delivery across Plastering (up to Level 2).
- Support and guide assessors to ensure consistent, high-standard delivery in line with awarding body and Ofsted expectations.
- Carry out sampling, observations, and internal verification activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of IQA records.
- Assist with preparation and readiness for EQA and audit visits.
- Provide feedback, CPD, and coaching to assessors to support professional growth.
- Contribute to curriculum development and resource quality, ensuring up-to-date content aligned with industry needs.
- Ensure learner portfolios (via OneFile) meet internal and external quality assurance standards.
- Monitor learner progress and ensure accurate recording of 20% off-the-job training.
- Collaborate with delivery teams, mentors, and stakeholders to drive learner outcomes.
- Travel as required across the South East and Greater London regions for site visits.
Key Requirements
- A recognised IQA qualification (e.g. V1, TAQA L4, or willing to work towards).
- Occupationally competent in Plastering.
- A relevant assessor qualification (CAVA, A1, or equivalent).
- Minimum of Level 4 qualifications in subject specialism.
- Recent experience of internal quality assurance in the apprenticeship sector.
- Strong knowledge of Ofqual qualifications and apprenticeship standards.
- Familiarity with e-portfolios (e.g. OneFile) and remote delivery tools.
- A proactive, professional approach to quality improvement.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
